Evaporator Coil Cleaning

Maintaining refrigerated walk-in boxes is an extremely important way to ensure optimal performance of your refrigerated storage. Simple maintenance routine is often forgotten and/or overlooked which can lead to performance problems or system inefficiencies down the road. To avoid such problems, at Elite Refrigeration Services we perform comprehensive evaporator cleaning that includes:

    • Disassembling evaporator
    • Using EPA approved biodegradable disinfectant cleansers and gun applicator to power clean coils
    • Blowing out drains with CO2s as needed
    • Blowing out electrical motor plugs with CO2s to prevent electrical failures
    • Replacing or repairing damaged fan motors/blades when applicable
    • Conducting comprehensive inspections and walk-throughs of units to identify refrigerant leaks and service issues
    • Documenting and notifying customers of all leaks and service issues identified
    • Restarting blowers and verifying operation is running properly
    • Documenting temperatures and providing recap of all work completed to customer

Condenser Coil Cleaning

Maintaining refrigerated walk-in boxes, cases and amp at home and/or business HVAC condenser is extremely important to ensure the optimal performance of your refrigerated storage. Minimal maintenance routine is often forgotten and/or overlooked which can lead to performance problems or system inefficiencies down the road. To avoid such problems, at Elite Refrigeration Services we perform comprehensive condenser cleaning that includes:
    • Disassembling the system to expose the condenser
    • Using EPA approved biodegradable disinfectant cleansers and gun applicator to wash coils

Elite Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

Despite all of the possible energy saving strategies available in the market today it is imperative that a solid maintenance program be implemented on your equipment. Much like the evolution of energy efficient products and equipment, Preventive maintenance & its techniques have evolved as well. Constructing a solid preventive maintenance program wither it be monthly, bi‑monthly or quarterly will help prolong equipment life, maintain proper equipment operation and increase the probability of preventing & catching unexpected system failures before they catch you off guard.

All of which will result in saving you money on complex repairs & save big bucks on your energy bill. We are & always will be 100% committed in providing a high standard of  HVAC/R service to all of our customers at any time of the year.

    Services offered:
    • Annual Preventive Maintenance
    • Bi-annual Preventive Maintenance
    • Customs Corrective Maintenance Programs
    • Equipment Analysis & Surveying

Refrigerant/System Retrofitting

Environmental realities are upon us, there is little doubt that environmental issues particularly climate change, are going to alter the regulatory and market landscape in the near future. With the general spike in the cost of energy making itself more & more noticeable it is inevitable that you the consumer, business owner & human being take to the route of sustainable & smart energy consumption.

    • Refrigerant retrofitting is an inevitable path the industry has taken throughout the industries existence.

    • Refrigerant Retrofitting – R22 Refrigerant is being phased out by the Montreal Protocol Act.

    • What now??? Commercial refrigeration & Air Conditioning currently relies heavily on R22 as a refrigerant; however, this kind of refrigerant is known to deplete the ozone layer.

With the worldwide phase-out of ozone depleting HCFCs (Hydro chlorofluorocarbons) including R-22, we need to start thinking of other alternatives, especially Green alternatives.

Converting your equipment to newer more ecologically friendly refrigerants may be the answer. In refrigeration, there are two main choices to deal with the phase out of R22.

1: Replace the equipment with newer systems that run on different refrigerant.

2: Retrofit existing system to run on new approved gas. Be mindful that if you choose to retrofit be sure that your HVACR professional is up to date & qualified with the ins & outs of the procedure.

Refrigeration Techniques & Services

Electronically Commutated Evaporator Fan Motors (EC Motors) – These high efficiency motors can replace older shaded pole or PSC motors in walk in coolers, freezers & reach in refrigeration. These new EC motors run 60-90% more efficiently than conventional shaded pole motors. Considering most refrigeration coils run the fans 24/7 it makes sense to use the most efficient motor possible.

    • EC Motor Control – This control lets the evaporator fans run at low speed when the refrigerated space is cold enough & the compressor has stopped. This means that around half the time the fans will switch to low speed instead of running at high speed all the time. At high speed EC motors are over 60% more efficient than conventional shaded pole motors. At low speed EC motors are over 90% more efficient than shaded pole motors.

    • Temperature control upgrades – The temperature control is the brain of your refrigeration system keeping this control up to date, proper control location/installation, is essential for your systems optimal performance.

    • Temperature control probe adapters – Such adapters allow for tight temperature controlling. The adapter mimics the internal temperature of solids & liquids & best fit the medium temperature application. (40 – 30 of)

    • Door Curtains for walk in coolers & walk in freezers – Plastic door curtains help keep cold air within the conditioned space. This helps all the time & especially during loading & when door is not closed properly.

    • Night Covers for open display refrigeration – Open air produce & display cases are very inefficient. Adding night covers to close up cases while store is closed can reduce electrical expenditure by over 50%.

    • LED Lighting – Retrofitting existing refrigerated case lighting from conventional incandescent or even fluorescent to the ultimate LED (Light emitting diode) will drop energy consumption drastically, also relaying a modern & more appealing look.

    • Preventive Maintenance – Establish seasonal tune-ups. During these PM’s have your refrigeration pro create the ideal punch list for your business. Set up a seasonal preventive maintenance program that suits your needs.
